Acceptable Use Policy

§ 1. Permitted Activities

IGFox is designed to provide high-speed media downloading for legitimate, lawful purposes. Permitted activities include:

• Saving public social media posts for personal offline enjoyment.
• Creating backup archives of your own original social media content.
• Archiving public media for academic research, journalistic reporting, or fair use commentary.
• Extracting audio soundtracks as 320kbps MP3 for personal listening.

§ 2. Prohibited Activities

To protect our community and server infrastructure, the following actions are strictly prohibited:

• Commercial bulk scraping or high-volume automated requests without an authorized Commercial API Key.
• Launching denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks or deliberately exhausting server memory and bandwidth.
• Attempting to download private, password-protected, non-consensual, or age-restricted content without authorization.
• Using downloaded media for malicious purposes, harassment, copyright infringement, or defamation.

§ 3. Fair-Usage Rate Limits

To guarantee smooth performance for millions of concurrent users, our proxy engine enforces dynamic rate limits per IP address. Automated requests exceeding normal human browsing speeds will receive HTTP 429 Too Many Requests responses.

§ 4. Violations & Abuse Reporting

Violations of this policy may result in temporary IP throttling or permanent firewall bans. To report abuse or unauthorized activity, contact abuse@igfox.app.
